Depends on the rims and the year truck. My 12.5" MTR's fit on stock rims with 3" BL + 1" Torsion crank...minor rubbing at full lock. 2004 QC.

With no torsion bar adjustment or lift, you can fit 31X10.5's with no problems on an 89, 92, 96, and 97 (all 4X4's). Personal experience, so I don't know about any other years. My 97 2X4 can fit these also with barely enough clearance.
If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks...well...it needed to be replaced anyway.
