 Subject: Cruise Control

My cruise control is completely dead. None of the buttons or indicator lights work. The fuses seem ok. Does anyone know what I can check before having the shop look at it for $200.

You may have missed a fuse or fusable link. If your sure ALL fuses are ok, I'd investigate the switch on the brake pedal. With the light not working, it's most likely not a vacumn leak. Lots of wires on a cruise control. You need a book and a volt/ohm meter. there pretty cheap. The book will or should have a trouble shooting section for the cruise control. Don't buy a book without the trouble shooting section on yoiur specific year/model.
