Subject: Cabin Filter? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1997 Dak Sport 3.9 4x4. Does my truck have an interior cabin filter, and where is it?
I can't find anything. I thought all cars pretty much had them.
Thanks
Matt

Message: I have a 98.
I removed the cowling below the windshield, cut a 3-M Filtrete filter in half, was creative with Duct Tape, replaced the cowling.
Ta-Da!
Have to redo it about every three or four months, but I drive 200-350 miles per day. Rain doesn't seem to bother it.

I keep getting these long, thin leaves thru the vents.

Message: Hey, Mattdak!
Other than a certain Dakota owner's truck, NO '87-'04 Daks have them. The new style Daks might; I'm not really sure. Anyone know for sure?
This reminds me: Coupla days ago one of my co-workers good-naturedly asked me (when I mentioned some of my current projects), "Is there ANYTHING on your truck you haven't modified or changed in SOME way?"...
I thought for just a moment-- mentally grabbing at straws, actually-- and replied:
"I'll have to get back to you...!"
"And now, the 'punchline'": Not even MY truck has a cabin filter! Shatto beat me to it!!
