Message: so when i put that 360 into my truck will my 318 automatic tranny bolt up or do i have to buy a 360 flywheel also?

Message: you will have to get the 360 tranny to go with . you have the 44re, you will need a 46re to bolt up.

Message: Yes the auto tranny from a 318 WILL bolt up to a 360 . You will need to have the flex plate with the balance weights on it that came with the 360. As long as the torque converter thats in the 318 tranny is a 90 degree bolt pattern to match the bolt pattern on the 360 flexplate..

Message: The "90 degree" pattern appeared in 1996. Prior to that, all Mopar smallblock V8's used an asymmetrical pattern.
