Message: Jason F, what was the year and model of your truck? Did you ever have a overheating of the front brakes? i:e stuck caliper warped rotor cause excessive heat? That might have dried out the grease in the bearings and caused it to gall very quickly.
I`m thinking I might have the same problem.

And yes actually I am on my third set of front brakes (third time having them done anyway) in 113k miles and every time the rotors have been warped. Perhaps excessive heat did dry them up.
I also took a hit on the left tire in december when i slid into some concrete in the snow (bounced off it with my rim, didn't take it head on). It cracked my rim (enough that it needed to be replaced) and threw my alignment off. It may also have done something to the bearings.
Somone asked if the '00 had sealed bearings, I'm not sure but I can tell you the '01s do.
