How can I tell what gear ratios my truck has? It's a 1997 CC SLT 4x4 with a 318 in it. Not sure whether they're 3.55s or 3.92s. Thanks.

index the driveshaft and turn your back wheel one full rotation and count how many times it goes around. It is alot easier with two people though.

Look in the glove compartment > May be in there. Also should be a tag on the pumkin . If you have a factory service manual take your identifacation # of the door jam and it will tell you what you have . If it's been changed then your only true way is the tag or what RYAN said
