Just traded in my 04 dak for a Jeep grand cherokee laredo. Still crying. Collapsed under the pressures of a family and large dog. Grieve for me. Till i find another.

Dude! The dog should have been riding in a carrier loaded in the bed. I hope it didn't ride inside with the humans.
If you had an RC I can understand needing something bigger. A QC would be the ticket. A Jeep Cherokee has no size advantage (that I can think of) over a Dakota QC.
Hope you can get your Dak soon. At least you're still Mopar...

not a matter of overall space, it's a matter of interior space. More leg room, and can put the dog in the cargo area even when it's stormin and cold.
ehhh, difficult to find lifts and all the other fun stuff for a 04 anyway still, find an older v8 dak and i'll be a happy camper.

At least you're still driving a Mopar! I would love to see Jeep make a new truck based on the Cherokee. Get rid of the back end and make a 4 dr. truck. It would be interesting!
Good luck with the new rig! I can relate to the pressures of needing a bigger or 4 dr. rig for a family, I finally make enough $$$ to drive whatever I want (within reason!), but find myself forced to buy 4 door vehicles (including my trucks) because I need the space for two kids (both still in car seats) and all the baggage that seems to go with them!
