Message: Double check all your linkages, if they are good, I suspect a worn gear internally (planatary, syncro, etc) or the nylon spacers on the actual shifting mechanism (fingers/fork) are worn causing a clearance/interferance issue, not allowing full engaugement.
If it doesn't fit, you're using the wrong hammer!
