Subject: 19" R/T rims NOW AVAILABLE IP: Logged
Message: Ok, so Ive been hard at work again...
I started researching rims and tires, and for a good set of 19's or 20's you just have to spend too much money..and then you had to worry about fitment, quality, and looks...
So I went to the drawing board, and came up with an idea... The R/T rims look good, they have the proper fitment and they are built well. So I contacted a company that produces them, and get together with their engineers. We decieded on a 19x10 rim.
The tooling is currently being done and the first 75 sets will be sold exclusively through me.
They will be shipping in 12 weeks or less!
19x10 painted: 1000.00 shipped
19x10 chrome: 1400.00 shipped
Pricing includes centercap and shipping anywhere in the USA
Special discounts will be available at time of ordering on tires for anyone who pre-orders. Many sizes from 27inch to 32 inch available by many manufactures. A exact 28 inch is also available for those who want to plus size their tires without changing gear ratio or their speeddometer readings.
If your interested or would like more information please contact me at:

Message: Good job.
I would contact Hotchkis about fitment with
there drop kit as the seem to be the defacto
standard in Dakota drops and much of your
customer base overlaps with there's. Also, as
you have the exclusive on the first 400 rims it
would be great to see you put up a site
detaling the devolpment, pics, order form etc.
Thanks, Neil

Message: Will the 10" fit on the front without interferences? The widest combinations I've seen on the DAK is 9" front and 10" rear.
Also if coming from the tire and handling group the height is 29" (255/65/16). Hope that size would be in the list.
Sounds like a great idea. Now where to find the money?

Message: The rims will be produced in a 10 inch across but will have the same (compensated) backspacing so there will be no interference. Tires are available from 27.00 to 32.00 with 10-12 widths.
The tooling has not been completed yet, and there is still time to make minor adjustments. It is possible still to make a 20 if it is so demanded before the tooling is finished.
So here is the question: do we want a 19inch or 20 inch rim?
The pricing will not be much differnet?

Message: What tires are available for 19" rims? I looked today at Nitto, Toyo, Goodyear, Pirelli, BF Goodrich, Tire Rack, www.tires.com,www.tires-n-parts.com, Performance Plus Tire, etc. 19" sizes are few and far between wherever I looked. Most I found were like 235/35/19 which are not wide enough and only 25" tall. Maybe I didn't find the right place, but I'm sure you did your homework. If you have sources lined up for the sizes that you quote then 19" would be cool.
There are many more tire options in 20". I'm interested either way.

Message: Ok, so there is more of a demand for the 20" then I had thought. But the customer is always right so. The final size has to be chosen by tuesday, and ill leave it up to the board!
Please go the general board and post your vote. Do we want a 19" or a 20"
All info and pricing can be found on the voting post.

Message: Lowered R/Ts will rub on the fender lips if you install a Hotchkis setup and don't roll the lips or change the alignment specs. I wouldn't go assuming you can crank more wheel offset to the outside without problems. On the inside you are already close to hitting the sway bars at full lock, so you can't just at the width in that direction.
With the costs associated with what you are proposing, it would be wise to get a pair of wheels with the offset you have in mind, mount some tires, then test on both stock height and lowered trucks. You risk discovering the problems too late if you don't and you end up with tooling that only works for rear wheels and not fronts.
