 Subject: 2001 Dakota -- Kicking Arse

Hey guys, just letting you know, my 2001 double cab with 4.7 V8 is running perfectly. It hauled off a 68 ft pine tree on Friday (of course I cut the tree up with my American made Poulan chain saw) to the dump and then pulled a 20 ft Proline 75 miles to the gulf on Saturday. Filled the tank upom Sunday and averaged 14.6 miles per gallon. What a truck. Couldn't be happier.

I handed a smack-down-kick-yo-daddy-in-the-face ass whoop'n on this punk in a yellow "I5" Colorado this morning. Stop light,, 7am,,,uphill,,most excellent FL sunrise kick'n... I love that sweet spot,,where you can just feather it to break the tires loose,,just chirping on command. I love a good uphill run with this little V8 truck (2wd cc)!
Point - I love my '01 4.7L too!
135kmi...10mpg....and runs like a raped ape! The other day while starting it, my fingers slipped off the keys the moment it began cranking. I mean I BARELY bumped the motor over, and it kinda stubbled,,choked for just a second,,,but then roared to life! I thought that just kicked f'n arse.
I'm also the first/original owner, so I know it's been taken care of properly.
