Right now I am installing a Six-Pack hood scoop on my 03 dakota's hood. When I spray paint a clear coat onto the hood do I sand in between each layer of clear coat. How many clear coats should I apply on my hood?

i would do a light wet sand with about 1500-2000grit between coats. when I'm done clear coating it i would wet sand it really good.
