Subject: Hotchkis installed: Problems IP: Logged
Message: I installed my rear Hotchkis leaf springs Monday night (stock sway bar). It looks great, but if i stand on my bumper and bounce the bed up and down there is a profound 'pop' coming from underneath the truck. I can't really tell where it's coming from (almost sounds like each of the shock mounts (i switched to Doetsch shocks)). I do know that the sound isn't isolated on one side (don't think at least).
Anyone have any troubles comparable to this? Any ideas on how to resolve? It's pretty annoying, b/c whenever i go over bumps (not small, but medium to large) it makes this noise. I'm also 100% sure it's not hitting the new bumpstops.
Thanks

Message: Try disconnecting the sway bar. The geometry of the stock bar is wrong for the dropped height. I suspect that will solvethe noise.
