I just moved to FL,,and took this freak'n hood with me cause I refuse to throw stuff away. Well,,,I actually did throw away the painted bumper in Austin before coming cause no one took it,,,but thought the hood would be handy.
Anywho,,,I've had at least three different hoods on my '01,,the one I'm selling is the original with black vinyl racing stripes. The hood is damaged in the front, passenger side corner. The damage is very minor,,,the area is about 5inchs,,maybe smaller in size overall. It's purely cosmetic,,still works/fits fine on any gen.III dakota. This happened within months of me getting it (teaching my little bro to drive and he smacked our gate - grille gard took the impact,,but the gate flipped up and smacked the front of the hood). It's one of those dents you have to look for to see. Otherwise the hood is in primo condition, no chips,,,and the paint is factory fresh - it's the Graphite/Grey color. There's a bit of surface rust in the tiny area where the impact actually broke through the paint, but two seconds with sander/grinder will take care of it. It has been indoors since it was taken off the truck, a wall decoration of sorts. Only saw daylight the first few months I owned it - I bought the truck new.
Long story short,,,BUY IT! Take it off my hands,,I just moved it from Austin TX, to Boynton Beach, FL and don't feel like moving it to another home in the future. It's clean, it gets dusted and polished with the rest of the furniture. I live in an apt. so if you can't hide it,,,shine it.

Oh ya,,someone preferably in S.FL area,,,I don't feel like going to FedEx with this thing,,but I work next to one,,,so at least make an offer worth shipping. I've got pic.s if you're interested,,,I've also been posting on here for a several years now if that's worth any credibility!
