The different rears can be identified by the # of bolts for the cover - most or all were available with limited slip.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

I know that, however the 10 bolt lists a 7.25 or a 8.25 inch pattern. No matter, I called my mechanic and NAPA and they both said to use gasket maker RTV. thanks.

I know many who have used the RTV only for sealing the rear end cover.

That is what I need it for just the cover.

Do I have to totally disassemble the axles and everything to remove the large ring gear?

There was a tab on the cover bolt that says 3.9, does that mean I have 3.90 gear ratio?

Hopefully you have the rearend that allows you to flatulate when needed and take a dump when your systems becomes full of excrement.

If you are a guy, hopefully you have a rearend which is an exit, not and entrance.

Yes. The axles are held in place with c-clips in the diff unit. They gotta come out before you can remove the diff unit so you can then remove the ring gear.
When you pull the axles, don't f**k up the oil seals, or oil will slowly leak out all over your brakes while you're driving.

Well then maybe I won't pull them.

How hard is it to get the bed off?
