Subject: Replacement Power Window Regulator IP: Logged
Message: Hi,
The plastic bushings on my 97 club cab driver side power window regulator arms broke, the dealer wants $125 to replace the entire regulator, I have found a few regulator assemblies on the internet that don't specify if they are for manual or power windows or not, are they interchangable?

Message: I'm guessing that the manual roll up windows don't have regulators. Only the power windows have the regulators. I've never worked on that part of a car though.

Message: I replaced one of those bushings on my 98 with a rubber faucet washer about a year ago with no problems so far. Just a thought.

Message: Yes, even the manual windows have regulators, the regulator is the mechanical device that has the actuator arms attached to it and a gear drive assembly that either connects to a motor or a crank handle. Which is why I was wondering if the manual and power regulators are the same without having to go to the dealer again and do a parts # match.
