Subject: Replacement Power Window Regulator

Hi,

The plastic bushings on my 97 club cab driver side power window regulator arms broke, the dealer wants $125 to replace the entire regulator, I have found a few regulator assemblies on the internet that don't specify if they are for manual or power windows or not, are they interchangable?

I'm guessing that the manual roll up windows don't have regulators. Only the power windows have the regulators. I've never worked on that part of a car though.

I replaced one of those bushings on my 98 with a rubber faucet washer about a year ago with no problems so far. Just a thought.

Yes, even the manual windows have regulators, the regulator is the mechanical device that has the actuator arms attached to it and a gear drive assembly that either connects to a motor or a crank handle. Which is why I was wondering if the manual and power regulators are the same without having to go to the dealer again and do a parts # match.
