Subject: Instrument panel and interior lights IP: Logged
Message: While working on my 97 dakota I crossed two wires in the overhead console. When this happened I lost my interior lights, my radio and my instrument panel. I checked all the fuses, non were blown. I am lost now... Anyone have any great ideas?
Thanks
Brian

Message: Check in the fuse/relay box under the hood. There are some unconvential looking fuses in there with clear plastic tops. Those are fuses too. One of them might be blown. On my 1999 Dakota on those fuses, number ten is the one for the interior lights and some other stuff, it might be the same on your Dakota. Keep your fingers crossed that it is just one of those that you blew.

Message: Oh yeah, you can find those at Auto Parts stores with the regular fuses.
After I blew the Power Outlet one in my Dakota; it took me over a day to realize those were fuses. I carry spares in the truck now.
