Hi, everyone!

Check out the tech tip on how to rewire your lamps so that the marker lamps flash with the turn signals! Just did this yesterday on my '99 and not only is it safer, it's a little something unique as well!
Very easy to do, too! If anyone is interested and needs tech help on this (wire color or what), I'm glad to help!

Could you post the wire colors that are on a 98? I would think that they are the same as your 99. That's alot easier than getting those cheap apc sidemarkers and drilling and cutting into my truck fenders. Also could you post some pics?

This mod uses a circuit that you might call a "floating ground". It's easier than it sounds! I'll post wire colors and functions from my '99 with directions as soon as I get out to the garage again! Be glad to help (though I won't be able to do pics just yet, fraid...

Ok ok...I had to tear one of my headlights out to re-seal it and so forth. Didn't have to yank the bumper either, can reach the bolts from underneath.
This works great, real subtle, cool mod. SUper easy to...
According to my Haynes, wire colors are the same for '00 and on, not sure for earlier years.
Cut the ground (black) wire on the marker bulb. Cut as far from the bulb as you can so you have room to move things around. Now you want to tie this into the turn signal wire. Driver side is a light green wire, passenger side is a tan wire. Thats all there is to it.
I used a splice connector, taped it up and kept it all tucked into the fender as far as possible. Don't want the elements getting to it.
When the parking lights are OFF, the marker will blink in-sync with the turn signals. When the parking lights are ON, the marker light will blink opposite the turn signals.

some vehicles ground each of the sidelights to that unit's fixture. In which case Stern's suggestion won't work. It WILL blow multiple fuses, however.<G>
Been there. Done that. Was glad it was a temporary connection!

If your sidelight's grounded through the fixture, it's not a Dodge.

And of course connecting chassis ground to turn signal feed will blow some fuses.
