Message: I have a Sears lawn tractor the uses an automotive type screw-on oil filter. I noticed at Sears that the cost is $11. Ridiculous!
Does anyone know how to cross-ref so I can find it at a reasonable price?
Thanks

Message: I found a toyota 22R motor (older taco 4 cyl. pickup) filter fits my craftsman rider with the 22.5 Kohler motor. No more high price filters for my mower - you could measure what you have and check the parts store shelves...

Message: "And it's weighs only 34 lbs." Which is half of a gasoline mower. But most people are not CARRYING the mower back and forth across the lawn. It cuts better when you push it. 8)
Costs only $110 at Home Depot.

I guess owning the old classic type wouldn't be that bad unless you dare to mow 2 acres of grass.
