Message: so after an afternoon of fishing and offroading my wife and I decide to stop by Ryans for a little late lunch. About half-way through our meal, I'm half looking out the window at the vehicles coming and leaving the banks in the same complex. I notice an older dakota (similar to my old 95 I traded in in January) leaving a bank drive-through. As it turns through the parking lot, I notice it's green, same rims, same vent visors, same pin stripe (never saw one exactly the same and I lived in 3 states). As it it starts heading past the window that my wife and I are eating at I mention it to her. As the truck drove by I see rails for a tonneau cover on the sides (the velco straps on mine broke off and you couldn't roll it up). I had an xtang tonneau cover on mine. It is her! It was my old truck still alive and kicking after the 166k miles she had on her when I traded it her.
One dealer I looked at told me they'd just send her to the crusher. Glad to see that did not happen and that someone else can enjoy her as much as I did for another 166k miles.
