Subject: Tailgate and Center caps IP: Logged
Message: First off, I need some personal opinions. I want to up my gas mileage on the highway just a little bit and I'm thinking of taking my tailgate off and putting a Net in. I also considered throwing on a snap-down cover. Out of those two, what would some of you guys choose?
Secondly, I've been looking all over the junkyards and truck shops and haven't had any luck finding some silver center wheel caps for my 93 Dak, (6-lug). I've got all black rims and I'd really like some center caps, anyone know where I can find some, or maybe someone on here's got some they'd part with?
Thanks Alot!!!

Message: Center caps = Midnight Recon in a neighborhood other than yours.
Myth Busters did a show on the tailgate. Tailgate off or down does not improve gas mileage.
Go with the snap down. A tonneau cover will only add weight.

Message: Thought a tonneau if you spell it that way was a snap down.
