Anyone know if there is a programmer that you can get that will allow you to remove or up the governor on a 2000 4.7?? I have a kenne Bell S/Cer and i have the computer flashed for that so i don'[t want any program changes just the governor?? I'd hate to have to spend all that money for just my governor but i don't think i have any options. Any help will be appreciated.

Can't whoever flashed your PCM for the S/C remove the governor ? The Mike Leach flash I got removed the governor on my '00. No programmer that I'm aware of.

You might contact the folks doing the Leach Flash and see how much to just remove the governor - not sure how to contact them though, as I did this years ago. I believe they raise the governor to 256 mph, the highest possible setting.

That would be perfect. I just can't touch the programming that's on there now. I just don'[t want to hit my governor in the 1/4. Hoven't yet but with the extra boost i'm going to be running this year i think i might. Thanks for the info.

No doubt. That's slower than a Chevy truck's 105 limiter :p

Tried the key trick ? Many have reported if you turn the key to start before hitting the limiter, the starter won't engage - but the gauges go dark and limiter is bypassed.

I"m too worried about starving the motor of fuel at that point. I'm turning a few revs with boost when she cuts out and really don't want to blow the biatch up. I have yet to hit the governor in the 1/4 but I'm damn close. I" want to run some more boost and I'm pretty sure i will then. I've already added 4.10's to try and keep my trap speed down but i think I'm going to need the governor off to reach the times I'd like.
