Message: My fan quit working completely one time. Turned on AC and driving down the road and it just completely quit. Took to dealership and they took this flat little 'circuit board' looking thing from under the dashboard on passenger side. It was kind of 'bubbled' and looked like it had maybe gotten too warm. They replaced it on the spot (Service Advisor actually did the work himself), and it only cost $14. Hope this helps and good luck!

Message: Easy fix shaggy. It's your blower motor resistor which should cost no more than 12 bucks from the dealer. Located under the dash near the vent on the passenger side. Two bolts holding it in which I think are 10mm socket size. Unhook the connector which will make it easier to get the bolts out. There should be a slide on the connector which needs to be pushed to one side to release the connector.
If you take it to the dealer to fix, they will charge you anywhere from $125 to $250. Should take no more than 20-30 minutes to change on your own.
Hope this helps.

Message: Jason,
You've got one hell of a service advisor. Too bad the majority of them aren't that honest.

Message: Thanks guys. I will have to check that out when I get home. Do you think I can take it out and drive to work the next day without it installed? That way I can take it to the dealer and say, "I need this thing replaced" :)

Message: yeah, that won't hurt it as long as you don't forget and try to turn the fan on. If you tell them what you need "Blower Motor Resistor" they know exaclty what it is.
