Can anybody here tell me if I can use this rebuild kit for the 231j in my 231d case?

I'm under the impression that the only difference is that the the last letter which is what the case is put into j being jeep of course.

gear ratio might be different in the case due to axle ratios...i would use one designed specificaly for the make and model of your dakota

Thats the trouble I'm having a hell of a time trying to find anything anywhere. I've swapped an ax 15 outta a cherokee and put it in this truck had to swap bellhousings and the slave cyl but it's worked so that's why I'm askin about this.
