Subject: Camshaft/Crankshaft Position Sensor
IP: Logged

Message:
Im looking for a little help if anyone can provide some! 2000 V6 Dakota, while accellerating between 110-130km/h (60-70mph) or so, felt like the engine was struggling/stuttering, or not running with full power. Sure enough, engine light comes on. Checked the codes (1391) which indicates "Loss of the camshaft position sensor or crankshaft position sensor has occurred."
Does this sound like a Camshaft or Crankshaft sensor problem (which one)? Or could it be in the wiring?
Also, can anyone explain how to replace either sensor?
Finally, is it safe to drive with this problem for a few days until I get a chance to take care of it? (Working 12 hour shifts next 3 days).
Any help would be great! Thanks fellas.
