Subject: Bad plugs?
IP: Logged

Message:
Been having something a bit unusual happen for the past week, and I am leaning more towards bad plugs. When I crank up my Dak when the engine is cold (like in the morning or when I get off work), the RPMs stay fairly low, but when I put it into gear it RPMs drop low enough where it starts knocking and almost stalling. Lasts for maybe a second then the RPMs jump back up to their regular idling speed. Once the engine warms up, it goes fine. Just seems to happen when the engine is cold.

Does this sound like one or more of my spark plugs is going bad? Only other ideas I had were maybe a TPS issue or fuel pump getting flaky. Then again, I'd think those two would be more consistent than just when the truck is cold-cranked. I'm gonna pop open the hood this weekend and make sure everything is ok with the throttle linkage and will check the plugs.. Just wanted to get a mechanic's opinion before I go poking around too much. Thanks everyone.
