Subject: Cruise Control Failure PCM related? IP: Logged
Message: When I swapped my transmission from auto to manual, I had to put a PCM in from a manual trans truck, and used one from a 1998 in my 99. I couldnt tell you if the 98 had cruise control, but since I did the trans swap, my cruise hasnt worked, I get no response from any of the steering wheel buttons. I focus on the PCM because that is the only thing I changed that I would think has an effect. I did have to unplug everything at the steering column to remove it at one point, but I have double checked and all the connections there are good. Could this cruise malfunction be the PCM or should I keep digging into the column wiring? Thanks.

Message: Yea, it's hooked up and functioning properly.
When i push the on/off switch for the cruise on the steering wheel, nothing at all happens, no light on the dash or nothing, like the system isnt getting any power, but all the wiring seems fine.
