Subject: Trans bands adj?
IP: Logged

Message:
Getting ready to service the 46RH trans in my '92 318. It's got 120K on it now. I got it with 92K and I've never had 'em adjusted. It runs fine, as it is. Is it correct to follow the manual exactly regarding the inch pounds and the number of back-off turns, or has it been found to modify these directions? Thanks for the help. I'm glad I found this page, you guys are great. Thanks a lot, Larry

Larry, check out my webpage. Under the How To's section I have several matinence/modification writeups. The trans adjustment is on there, save for a picture of the low-reverse band (the one inside the pan) which I'll have as soon as I change my fluid again.
