I noticed yesterday what I thought looked like rust or burnt something-a-nother on my new chrome exhaust tip (month old). I was not a happy camper. I went to my local Walmart and found a product called "Never Dull" by Eagle One. It is in a small silver circular tin. To my surprise, it polished off all that mess on my chrome tip, and it now looks like brand new. The "Never Dull" is a wool-like wadding. I was so impressed, I took it over to my neighbor's house and polished up his exhaust tips which hadn't been cleaned in over a year.

So, if you happen to be at Wally-world and have an extra $4.00 in your pocket, pick some of this stuff up and give it a try. Also works well on copper, brass, silver, aluminum, etc.

I learned on Mythbusters that a can of coke and some aluminum foil works as a good chrome cleaner

Think that Never Dull would work on chrome wheels too?

Heh...you should see my exhasut tip. Its less than a month old. 3.5" polished stainless and it looks like aluminized sttel almost.

I have a can of turtle wax chrome polish that I'm told works very well. Just haven't done it yet.

GB2000, it works on any chrome surface. It makes it really shine! A can of coke and some alum foil, Mark? Well, I guess if coke can clean my battery terminals, it can clean chrome. ;) I'll have to remember that though. I like trying stuff like that to see if it really works.

Jesse, I suggest you try the Never Dull sometime to see what it does.. then put turtle wax on it as a finisher. You'll probably need sun glasses to look at it. :D The only catalyst the Never Dull requires is a little bit of elbow grease.

Heh! The 'sunglasses required' effect is what I always shoot for in the summer time. I put some serious time and elbow effort into wash/waxing.

The day we brought my GF's car home last year I spent about 6 hours doing a 4-stage wax and detail on it. Dealer told me they had detailed it...yeah right. They missed all the little details like trim, mirrors etc. You know, the things that make or break ANY project.

6 hours? Dang man.. Talk about that new car look. Bet it also had that new car smell after you were through with it too. That car would probably reflect bullets after a 4-stage waxing. LOL Umm.. You need to come down to Georgia for a few days this spring. I'll put you to work! :)

I second the Turtle Wax chrome polish. Works excellently; it's all I ever use! Doesn't cost much, either...

It needed some real good waxing and looked real good afterwards. Took it around to show friends/family that day and everyone kept saying it looked brand new. Older folks owned it before we got it and you could tell it didn't get detailed often.

I can't wait for spring so I can get both of them back in shape.
