Subject: trans cooler IP: Logged
Message: Hi guys im getting ready to buy a 4000lb travel trailer and im adding a trans cooler but wher are the trans lines? i looked and can't find them, and does anyone have a suggestion of trans cooler types or places to mount it or does in front of condenser really work best. i'm also considering a trans temp guage who has the best price

Message: Lines to the cooler should be on the passenger side of the transmission. They're metal lines about 3/8" or so.
In front of the A/C condensor is best for the add-on cooler.
Best fluid routing: transmission to add-on cooler, add-on cooler to radiator cooler, radiator cooler to transmission.
Most people go from trans to radiator cooler to add-on cooler then back to the transmission. This is perfectly OK to do, just not the optimum.
