I can understand pouring it down the throttle body. I use to do that with carburators and gasoline. { Use too much gasoline though and you might melt your face off during the pyrotechnics ;) }

Well, I just thought I'd ask before speaking to the company directly.

Thats a good question. I read on another bulletin board about the same question. Those who had tried it didn't figure to put it in the crank case until they read the directions. They still didn't try its intended purpose. Said it worked great though down the hatch or throttle body as you put it.

Phil.

Hi, guys!

For what it's worth, I HAVE used Seafoam in the crankcase before: but ONLY as a 5-10 minute engine flush!

Ive never used it as a long-term engine oil supplement, so I can't recommend that (I try to stay away from oil supplements or additives in general, anyway). My Dak has only ever gotten Mobil 1 or Amsoil anyway. Engine flushes before oil changes are different, though (Auto-RX sounds good). Amsoil Sponsor is 100% right!

I've also used it as a de-carbonizer per the directions on the can (through the PCV via a funnel and hose clamped onto the PCV hose).

Anybody have anything else to add?
