6 months ago i traded in my 2000 3.9 sport. I thought thats I was tired of it and wanted something "cooler". so out of my insanity I purchased a Colorado. Man is that thing small inside. I have made several modifications to it. flowmasters, intake, 18 in rims and 3" drop.

I have to admit. I sometimes wish i would have kept the dakota. My mom bought it for me on my 17th birthday. 5ys later no problems perfect inside & out.
I kind of regret getting rid of it. that colorado has nothing on the kota even though, The colorado is more modern and more up to date.

oh yeah, and this is were it really sucks!
Dakota = paid off
colorado= $320 for the next 4yrs

did you even test drive the colorado? I noticed the small cheap looking interior and the body style is that of a box. also if we thought the 3.7 and 3.9 got bad gas mileage. that 5 cylinder gets about the same gas mileage as my 4.7.

as they say hind sight is always 20/20 =-Þ

Your Mom bought you the Dak brand new?

I only have one question...CAN I BORROW YOUR MOM?

Don't think of it as being a dummy. Think of it as being inexperienced. We all learn our lessons in life.

Eh, don't feel bad. Most, if not all of us, have been down that road. I, for one, wasn't real impressed with the interior or the drivability of the Colorado/Canyon. I think the S10 had more class and comfort than GM's latest contraption. Frankly though, I still wouldn't own either. LOL For those of us that are old enough to remember... the Canyon, to me, drives like the mid-80's model Nissan pickup 4x4's. Dash-board interior reminds me of them a bit too. Just my opinion...

If you don't like it, wait a year or so and look for something different. No use in your being stuck with something you're going to dislike. Goodluck.

When I first saw the ads for the Chevy, I kinda liked what I saw. I thought this new truck might give Dodge a run for their money. Then I sat in one.

don't be so hard on yourself. as mentioned earlier, chaulk it up as one of life's little lessons. i feel for you though. i had the opportunity to take a good look at one of GMC's version the Canyon. believe me, the interior is cheaply thrown together and smaller than the Dak. i would think GM will be doing a redesign of that truck in the near future.

Yes, the Colorado has a cheap dash but the new Dakota is just as bad. I checked both of them out the third gen Dakota had a dash that blew both of them away seems like Dodge and GM went backward in the interior.
