Message: Still trying to figure out my stereo issue. Does anyone know where I can find the braided ground strap that screws into the back of the stereo? The previous owner of my 98 Dak must've removed it and it is the last thing I can come up with that may be keeping my stereo from working. Dak911

Message: Just run a new ground from the stero to the body then; that's all it does.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

working. Even the antenna shield will give it a
ground.
You got some other issue.. Might even have a bad
radio for that matter.
Have to bench tested the radio?

Message: Yeah I mean I haven't bench tested but have tested in another mopar and it works fine.
The situation is when you turn it on you can hear it the speakers "pop" like it's trying to come on but no LED and no sound. The lights work on the radio except the LED tuner display. I've tested the connectors and the only thing I cannot find is a constant power but it has switched power. I've been told that even without the constant, it should work with the switched..I'm at a total loss on this one...

Message: You need to have the constant power connected... thats what the radio draws power from .... the switched power just tells the radio to power on...... just like the power connections on a amp
