Subject: Almost Stall??? IP: Logged
Message: I was approaching a stop sign. THere was a car infront of me and when he went, I pushed alittle on the gas pedal and stopped at the sign. When I was stopping, my truck sounded like it was going to kill and the RPM's dropped to about 200! I hit the gas and it took off. This happened twice today. Anybody have a clue what was wrong????

Message: Could be IAC (idle air control) getting dirty - time to pull the TB to clean it ? Don't twist the plunger or you'll need a new one.

Message: Yes, the AIC valve might be on the way out. If cleaning it doesn't work a new one costs about 50 to 60 dollars. You can test the old one before you buy. Break out the OHM meter the haynes repair manual will walk you through it.

Message: I took it to a buddy of mine and he cleaned out the IAC and the throttle body. Said there was lots of carbon there. Also says that my cap and rotor are looking a bit used. Time to replace that as well. Thanks for the help guys!!
