I have a 1998 CC with a 5.2 and a 44re.
Well my transmission hesitates shifting between 2nd and 3rd.
Was told by two shops it is the lip seal and needs to be rebuilt.
Anyone gone through this?
Does this sound right?

just keep it full until it dies. Replace the seal, flush it out, and fill back up with ATF 3 or 4. I also put a bottle of Lube Guard Red in with it and this stuff worked great for me. i was told to have mine rebuilt by a shop at 75,000 miles. i am now at 93,000 after doing this. 99 5.2 4x4 44re
