Subject: 93 Custom Dak F/S in NJ IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys. Got into an accident with my Dakota and am looking to see if theres any interest in the remains. THe truck was hit by a triple-axle dump, smashing in the door and rear corner of the cab and knocking out the side window. The truck has a custom bed off of a 57 Dodge Pickup, which also got some damage on the rear fender.
Mechanically this truck is in excellent condition, I worked at a fast lube and personally changed out ALL the fluids within the past year. Engine has around 200,000 on it but Runs strong as a bull, the only problem is a minor power steering leak. The transmission is in great shape too as well as the rear end.
Basically the truck needs a new cab body and doors, and the rear fender needs to be redone, but everything else is in good condition. Tires are new as of october, brakes are a year old with new rotors and rear wheel cylinders, only commuted back and forth to work.
There is also a possiblility of me getting a replacement cab for it I just unfortunatly dont have the time or the resources to tackle this project. Let me know if anyone is interested.
THanks in advance
Nick

Message: What did you do to get the bed on the truck? Was it a standard 57 sweptline, or the stepside version?

Message: The bed was a stepside bed. The original bed on the 93 had the sides removed then it was narrowed to make room for the stepsides. The 57 bed was shortened so it fit under the window. I can email you pictures if you send me your Email addres. Or you can buy the truck (for cheap) and have your own.
