Message: Door panels are real simple now. Screws behind latch. door handle,
and 2 on the bottom of the panel. if you have auto winows and
locks just lift up the panel. Or take the clip off from the back of the
window crank.
After lifting the panel up far enough disconnect the connectors
and metal rod going to the lactch.
I put Alpine 200watt speakers in mine. Didn't replace the tweets.
Good luck

Message: I have a 98 regular cab and replaced 4 speakers. Stock speakers were extremely poor quality. I put 6-3/4" pioneer 240watt in the door panels, and fosgate 5-1/4" 135watt behind the seats, all for less than $130 with shipping on E-bay. Be careful with the door opening mechanism, it is fragile, I found out the hard way. Maybe things have changed, and your panels are different. Dunno. Best of luck
