Message: I am going to change the oil in my manual transmission this weekend. My manual calls for 10/30 engine oil for this. I was thinking of using synthetic oil because it suspose to last longer. Anyone done this? results? I have a 88 Dakota 4x4.

Message: just one thing you should be aware of.if you have a leak in T-case changing to synthetic may cause leak to be greater because it is a better lubricant it gets into places better than conventional oil it also flows to leaky areas better. If you have leak fix while you change oil and you should be fine.
