Subject: 2000 R/T brake problem on wet pavement IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 R/t CC , I have only had it 4 months.
I have noticed on wet pavement in a panic stop it will not stop at all.I can hear the antilock brake trying to work only on the passenger side front, the truck doesnt stop at all until I let off the break and put less pressure like it does not have antilock brakes.
Anyone have a clue what is wrong with it?

Message: And I can just kick myself because I just got it back from the dealer yesterday, they fixed a leaky waterpump under my service contract and adjusted the throttle linkage for the tranny, supposly it was to tight and thats why the tranny sometimes wouldnt upshift out of 1st gear at wot.
I havent had a chance to test it yet as the pavement has been wet from rain so far.
This brake problem can be dangerous, I hate to take it back to the dealer as I allways have to pay atleast a $100 deductle for the service contract so if anyone has any idea what it could be maybe its something cheap and easy to fix???

just the rears.
I stand by my sons comment; "Electronics should
not be in cars and trucks."
I must agree with him... With todays JUNK coming
from China, you REALLY want to trust your life
and your loves ones hoping a chip doesn't fail
while you're trying to stop?

Message: yeah, I don't get it. My 99' R/T has kind of anemic brakes. Sometimes I wonder if the rears are even working. Took it to the dealer but they said the brakes were working according to specs. It seemed like they worked a lot better when the truck was new. Even after a good brake job the braking sucked. My 2001 Durango has much better braking
