Subject: convertible car seats IP: Logged
Message: The last time I came to this site I was rewarded with the information that made my 1997 Dakota run like new again, so I am once again at the well looking for more information. I need a car seat for a toddler that will fit in the back seat of my Dakota. I cannot seem to find one that has a shallow enough base to fit securely. Has anyone out there ever found a car seat to fit into the "backseat" of your Dakotas? If so, would you mind sharing the make and model number?
thank you,
Chris

Message: I have put my son in a booster seat in the back of my extended cab '95. The problem is that the seat is too soft and therefore hard to get tight. Perhaps fold the seat up and put somesort of firm pad on the storage box and then sinch it down tight?
Not sure what else to tell you. Maybe make a frame out of wood to put on the floor to extent it. Just make sure to bolt it down to the floor or storage box or something.
