Hello, Beat!

My headlamp and corner assemblies are 2-piece, like the OEM ones. They look like these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98-99-01-02-03-DAKOTA-DURANGO-EURO-HEADLIGHTS-CORNER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ8034570530QQrdZ1

I have seen lately on Ebay some that are "1-piece", that is, the headlamp and corner elements are "faired" together into 1 big assembly-- like these?

Mine are NOT those: If others like their style (they're sure unique- they'd catch my eye!), that's great, but I don't think they're for me. I wonder: suppose a marker or turn signal bulb burns out-- would you have to remove the whole thing (and disturb your headlamp aiming) to replace the burned bulb?

What does everyone else think?

Well the one thing I liked about the 1-piece ones was that they included a bulb reflector whereas the other ones did not. I always thought that clear headlights had to have these to be DOT approved.

I have no idea about the turn signal bulb as I have never had one go out yet on my 2000. I would think that you would be able to replace it without taking it out since I was able to do that with the headlight bulbs.

I dont think those 1piece lamp housings are DOT approved. And im pretty sure you would have to pull them to replace a turn/parking lamp bulb. On the stockers you can simply pull that lower housing, but since its all one piece its all gotta come out. Theres nowhere to reach it from inside like the headlight bulb.
