 Subject: Code 45 and hick-ups

96 3.9AT 4x4. After start up about 1 min, engine idle falls and bounces almost stalling. This only happens when in gear or park, not neutral. Only happens 1 min. into startup, not at any other time. I am also only getting 11 mpg. Any replies appreciated. Thanks

45 - Overdrive solenoid - An open or shorted condition detected in overdrive solenoid circuit.
this code will not cause the MIL to be on at all times.

Possible - sluggish O2 sensor - just in front
of cat- especially because of your mpg.

The overdrive does work fine. I did replace the O2 sensor behind the cat that i dont have. I checked the front O2 and it seems to be switching good.
