Subject: HELP! wheel bearing IP: Logged
Message: I feel like an idiot for asking this, but how do you seperate the wheel bearing assembly from the steering knuckle. Got the three bolts off, but the bearing/hub assembly is pressed in so tight i cant get it out. Do i need a puller of some kind and if so, what kind. If anyone else has done this i would appreciate the input.

Message: WD-40 and some heat, but I think I finally wound up threading the 3 bolts in 1/2 way and whacking the end of the bolt to drive the hub off.

Message: well i got the hub out. went to work on it with a punch and two pound hammer and it came out. Didnt bark up the steering knuckle either. So i guess it was a success. Sure beats going to the dealer.
