I was giving my Dakota a little break from the daily grind this week and my only other option was my sisters old 91' Ford Tempo(man, she trashed that car) with a crumby 4 banger. It took forever to get that thing up to 50mph. I looked under the hood and the tiny little TB was so fouled with "gunk" I couldnt believ it. I told my folks if they gave me $50 I would do a little tune-up on that heap and maybe then I wouldnt mind driving it. I drove that 4 cylinder as hard as I do my 318 in the Dak and it got much worse gas mileage. Would those autolites everyone is using in their daks work well in that crappy Tempo? I do have to give it to the Tempo for cornering at 30-40mph though. Thats about the only thing it has my dak beat in.
