Subject: Every Horn Dies?? IP: Logged
Message: Hello,
I have a 1992 Dakota and it seems that all the horns I have installed in my truck have just died on me... They start off just kinda get weak and kinda squealing instead of being like a normal horn... The last horn shorted out and would blow the fuse every time I would press the horn... What's the deal? Why are the horns dying???? Who would know they could be so complicated... help?
Thanks,
-Jason

Message: Unless you pay good money after market horns are junk > This has been my experiance > Best bet I have have found is an original off any auto in the junk yard that can be installed on yours without a fight > Don't pick one on an auto with no or open hood > The rain ruins them in time > Grab the horn relay while your at it
So many problems > So little time

Message: Thats a good idea... It got to the point where my horn was so fryed it would short out and blow a fuse but then i disconnected it and put some electical tape on the end and now it doesnt blow so you think its safe to assume there is no other electical problems down the wire? just the horn?
