i put in arco am/pm gas in my 93 318 about a week and a half ago. the truck sat for over a week with 3/4 tank. when i came back it seemed like it didnt really want to get up like it usually would, and had a bit of trouble towing. is this gas that crappy? anyone from the northwest should know.

i stay away from the mom and pop gas stations and go for the big names like bp, shell, and chevron. i know that they have good gas with out haveing to try it. it sounds like you probably did get some bad gas or lower octane than you usually get. just my .02 cents.

We have Arco Am/Pm gas out here in California and I would never use that stuff.

AM/PM sells hot dogs and burritos too, I wouldn't buy those either.

I use Shell and I get the 91oct with the 91 setting on my superchips and I have never had any problems. I have heard of people getting pinging from some of those cheap generic gas stations. Davshotdakota is right, stay with the big names.

I use arco am/pm gas in my riceburner only. When it comes to my Dakota I use only brand name gas. When it comes to towing I only use premium.

I live in WA and use Arco all the time in my 01 4.7. It probably does not have a lot of the addivites of some of the more expensive brands. I have run Chevron, Texaco, Shell, and others and see no difference. I don't rod the piss out of mine and it runs just fine on Arco 87. I do run some fuel injection cleaner once in a while. My Corvette says to use 91 octane and I have switched to running 89 in whatever brand I buy (again, not afraid to use Arco). Personally I don't see the reason to pay more than you have to for gas. It may be that a tank truck had just dropped a load and the crap in the bottom of the station's tanks was all mixed up. I never buy gas when I see a tank truck at a gas station.
