'01 QC.

The rear floor is flat in the foot section. But then under the seat it's raised. Anybody know what's under there? Is it just empty space? If so, I'm thinking of cutting that out and putting in a flat floor.

I believe it makes room for the fuel tank on one side, and is made to look the same on the other.
DC could have made one under-seat well at least.

I too would like a deeper well under the rear seat to store stuff like spare gloves, 1st aid kit, and fire ext., but won't be modifying mine under warranty.

Cut out a square inthe carpet/foam under the seat and you gain at LEAST 2 inches each side. Plenty to fabricate a place for gloves, jumper cables, or in my case, two amps...

Yes, I was busy making a MESS at that point :)

Check out my web, for all the times I found room under or behind the seats in my QC.

Thanx for the photos. In that first picture, it appears that the carpet and padding is about 2-3" thick. The green material with the beads on it is the cab floor? What material is that? What is the gray part with the rubber stopper?
