 Subject: 92 Cat. Pipe size (need quick response)

Hello,
my cat. converter is busted and I need to know the size of the pipe going to the Converter and the size of the pipe exiting the converter... My truck is 1992 Dak with stock exhaust... The tailpipe is 2.5 inches but the pipe coming from the converter is a little bigger and I'd like an exact size if anyone knows... Please respond soon before the parts store closes.

Should be 3". Is your exhaust original or aftermarket? I think all 92-93 V8 trucks came with a factory 3" exhaust. Not sure on the V6 though.
