Subject: Quick Question IP: Logged
Message: if one vehicle gets a 16 or a 16.5 in the 1/4, and the one that beats it gets a 15.5 in the 1/4, how much of a differance is that,
distance wise, 2 car lengths? 3 car lengths?
or more specifically, if one gets 15.5 and the other gets 16, how many car lengths would that probably be,
for an experienced driver, to get those exact numbers. thanks for your help.

Message: 15.5 0r 16 seconds in the 1/4 is about 90 mph roughly give or take a few. 90mph=132feet per second and half a second would be 66 feet. a truck if about 16 feet long. so that is 4 and 1/8 car lenths. not a half toolfan. if they were going 10 mph that would be a half a car lenth or if there was a .06 second difference at 90 mph there would be half a car lenth. I hope that answers your question DAC15thMEU

Message: you are right about the lack of a modicum of math skills,
the last math I took in College, was Statistics, and I got a C in it,
but it didn't hurt me that bad, considering my GPA is now a 3.5,
thanks for all of your answers,
Merry Christmas

It's simple math. Nothing more.
Statistics won't help you, it's the stuff you did years before, on your way to statistics.
