Message: Has anybody used the Dana Trac-Lok before? From what I understand, it is a LSD unit that is nearly identical to what comes stock from the factory. Does anyone know where I can buy this unit? I found it for around $175 awhile back, but I can't seem to find a place that sells it now. I have a 2000 Dakota 4x4 with the Chrysler 8.25" diff.

Message: Unless the unit you inquire about is different, the factory LSD units are Dana Trak-Lok. Maybe they make higher end (read: better) units than the OEM stuff. I don't know.

Message: Gunner,
As a matter of fact, I put a trac-loc in my differential a month or
two ago...it works great, when I figure this out i'll post some
videos of BOTH my tires spinning before i got new rubber! hehe
for sh*ts n giggles...
anyway, I bought the unit at 4 Wheel Parts for $211 to be
exact... I wish I coulda found it for the price you stated!
