i think the 3.7 v6 wasn't talked about because it is still such a new motor. i heard the 3.7 sohc motor in a rc dakota stick performs as well as a 5.2 cc auto down the 1/4~! what ever you choose good luck but the dakota is a great truck!!

Ya, I look at it this way. K, some people come on the site and say that they hate their Dak's even that they're in lawsuites over how crappy Dodge has treated them and they have every right to be mad. Hell I think I'd freak right out! But it's not like Chevy and Ford's and even imports don't have these problems. Hell My buddies family back home has a Chevy Blazer thats dumped it's Tranny like 5 times in the last 5 years. And Ford has no better reputation. The only difference between those vehicles and your Dakota is the fact that when something goes wrong on your Chevy or your Ford sure you have the manual. But can you just pop on this website and say "Has anyone else done this?" And get help from other people who have already done it, attempted it, and perfected it? FOR FREE!?!? Hell no! So look at it this way. They're all pieces of sh*t all of them! But if you get a Dakota you're on the top of the Sh*t pile! I don't know about you but the information I've received already just by looking at the posts on here everyday is worth the $30 for memebership. I value this website so much as a reference it's unreal! You can't trust your stealership, but nobody on here has anything to gain by steering you wrong. I myself have taken 4 years of automechanics but by no means profess myself to even be close to being an expert. This website is an amazing resource. Worth more then a Ford or Chevy anyday.

Working Harder Not Smarter!
